With an intention of inculcating the power of knowledge and the latent talents of the young lads, Fatima Michael College of Engineering & Technology, Madurai had a modest beginning in 2009, by the renowned educationist and philanthropic pioneer Ln. Dr. M. Stalin Arockiaraj, the Chairman of St. Michael Group of Institutions. Innumerable achievements marked the page of legacy, the victorious inheritor remain open to the time and respond to it with dedication.
The college is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has a well defined quality policy and quality system procedures. It ensures relentless working of the personal at all levels to strive for academic excellence in technical skills. The main objective of our college is to up bring the innovative skills and individuality of the students to be acknowledged in this competitive world. Our college is 15 km away from Madurai and about 20 minutes drive from Madurai ring road.
The prudence and dream of our founder chairman Ln. Dr. V. Michael helped in establishing a reputed college- Fatima Michael College of Engineering & Technology a boon for generations to come.
The department of Mechanical Engineering was started in 2009 with the objective of producing high caliber technocrats and eminent Mechanical Engineers. The department of Mechanical Engineering has been approved for the intake of 120 students and offers UG course in B.E Mechanical engineering and P.G course in M.E Thermal Engineering. The department offers world class teaching by well qualified and experienced faculty members with experience in research and industrial background in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The faculty members are recognized as supervisors for guiding the Ph.D scholars of Anna university. Special emphasize on individual students care is being provided by way of motivating them in doing research and in research articles publications.
The International Conference on “Advancements of Optimization Techniques in Engineering Applications” (ICAOTEA) is made an attempt to bring together researchers from academic and industries in order to address advance techniques in Mechanical Engineering applications. We are sure that the conference will enable all the participants to share and gain knowledge and skill set in research area and receive right directions from experts. The conference paves way for researchers to present recent research results and new research problems. The conference seeks contribution presenting novel research in all aspects of Advanced Technologies in mechanical engineering. The conference will involve parallel sessions and keynote address by experts.
